Memorial Message:
Carla "Carlita" M. Balizan, 31 of Las Cruces, NM died Wednesday January 28, 2009. She was born April 14, 1977 in El Paso, TX to Albert and Carla Balizan. Carlita was a graduate of Las Cruces High School and attended New Mexico State University where she earned her Bachelors Degree. She was currently employed with the United States Forest Service.
Carla would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it or jacket. She was the first one to welcome me when I moved here from Checotah,Oklahoma. I had that thick "Okie" twang at Vista.
A true friend indeed, she may be gone but her spirit still shows in all the good she did to preserve the forest's of this country.
